Hi, and welcome to The Finest Cut
Over time, I hope that this blog becomes the place you come to find out about all things boozy, from whisky and gin, to wine and beer. Having started in November 2014 as a blog mainly focussed on whisky, it evolved in September 2015 to reflect the exciting developments which are taking place across the food & drink sector right now.
You can find out more about me and the thinking behind the blog over on the ‘About’ section.
Unlike a lot of blogs, I aim to keep mine regularly updated, with posts falling under the following three categories:
Blog of the Week – each Tuesday, you’ll find an in-depth piece about something boozy related, such as a recent event I’ve been to or an opinion piece on an issue surrounding the industry. Although many of these will be whisky focussed, I’ll be covering a vast range of subjects, including craft beer, gin, vodka, wine, cocktails food and more.
Whisky of the Week – each Friday, I’ll recommend a drink for you to try at the weekend. The majority of the time, this will be whisky, but don’t be surprised when some other drinks near their head from time-to-time.
Whisky News – on the first Monday of each month, I’ll round-up all the latest news from across the whisky industry (doing it for the whole drinks industry would be exhausting!).
That’s enough of an introduction from me. Thanks for reading and be sure to check back soon for the latest posts.
Slainte mhath!

I like the design first off and I love the concept. Will follow with interest, particularly when you drop in the odd reference to gin….
